🌿 My Story
In 2020, my life was forever changed by unimaginable loss. Within a single year, I lost my husband to leukemia, my brother to a brain tumor, my mother-in-law to dementia, and my mother to Alzheimer’s. Grief became my constant companion, and the weight of those losses often felt unbearable.
Through several years of therapy and self-work, I slowly began to find my way forward—one step at a time. Grief never disappears, but it transforms. In the midst of that journey, I realized how essential compassion, connection, and gentle rituals are for healing.
In 2025, I joined with a dear friend, Tracy, who had also endured a profound loss in her life—the passing of her son. We found strength in each other’s stories and shared the belief that no one should have to grieve alone. Together, we created The Kind Venture, a woman- and veteran-owned business built on resilience, compassion, and community.
What began as a grief-centered self-care brand, Kind Mourning, has grown into a larger mission: to provide products and services that honor life, nurture healing, and connect communities. Every offering from The Kind Venture is rooted in love, remembrance, and the belief that even in loss, there can be light.
